LuxeVista™ADVISORY GROUP

FOR INDEPENDENT EYECARE PRACTICE OWNERS

You care for patients.
I’ll help you with the practice.

Short-staffed again. Patients leaving with a prescription and buying their eyewear somewhere else. Peak hours run short-handed while slow hours run over. Claims that take too long to get paid.

I’m Patrick Gibson. I spent 20+ years in optical leadership with Luxottica, LensCrafters and Pearle Vision. Now I work one on one with practice owners.

FEES AND INVESTMENT

Worried about the cost? Let's talk about it first.

Most advisory firms say nothing about fees. I will tell you how mine are set, what moves them, and the ways you can pay: a fixed fee, a payment plan, or a monthly retainer. Then we work out an agreement your practice can afford, for the services you choose, measured against the revenue it returns.

A NOTE FROM PATRICK

Why I started
LuxeVista Advisory Group.

I started LuxeVista Advisory Group for one reason: to stand beside optometrists and practice owners.

One of my favorite stories comes from my years with LensCrafters. I spent time with an optometrist in Chicago, in their practice. Staffing problems had turned into service problems in the dispensary. My first job was not to fix anything. It was to listen.

I listen first. Then the decisions get made together.

After that conversation, the optometrist and I made the decisions together, formed a plan and put it to work. The complaints stopped. Dispensary sales improved. And the optometrist was heard.

That is the work I want to do for you. You trained to care for patients. Running a practice is a different job: the staffing, the billing, the optical, the numbers. For 20+ years with Luxottica, LensCrafters and Pearle Vision, that was my work.

LuxeVista Advisory Group was established in January 2026 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The firm is new. I am not new to optical. I bring the models that worked, a strong network of optometrists and optical professionals to call on, and the time to learn your practice. You work with me, not a junior associate.

I cannot promise results, because your team does the work. Here is what I can promise: I will listen to you, and I will give you the best path forward to your success.

Your patients get your best. Your practice deserves the same.

Capture rate: 40 of 100 patients compared with 75 of 100 Two grids of one hundred dots, one per patient leaving the exam. In the first, 40 dots are filled: patients who buy their eyewear in the practice. In the second, 75 are filled. The difference is 35 more pairs per 100 exams. A TYPICAL HANDOFFA WORKED HANDOFF 40 of 10075 of 100 patients buy their eyewear with youpatients buy their eyewear with you Each dot is one patient leaving the exam lane with a new prescription.
Figures from the multi-practice results on this page: capture rate moved from 40% to 75% in Patrick’s leadership years. Your practice’s own numbers come first in a Practice Diagnostic.

WHERE I START WITH MOST OWNERS

The most expensive moment in a practice is the ten seconds after the exam.

The doctor just spent twenty minutes building trust. The patient has a new prescription in hand. And then: “You can head out front.” Most practices track capture rate. Very few watch the handoff that decides it.

Fix the handoff and the same patients, with the same traffic, buy more of their eyewear from you. That is why it is the first thing I look at: it moves revenue before anything else has to change.

  1. Exam laneThe doctor explains the prescription and what it will do for the patient.
  2. The handoffA named optician, a reason to walk into optical, and the doctor’s recommendation carried forward.
  3. OpticalThe conversation starts from the doctor’s words, not from a price list.

THE PERFORMANCE DIAGNOSTIC

You diagnose patients. I diagnose the practice.

Choose the Diagnostic and I sit down with you and your optometrists and go through the whole practice, front desk to lab. Not a survey, not a template: a complete assessment by someone who has run optical at every level, from the dispensing table to a 400-practice business.

I find where your patients are being lost and where the revenue goes with them, and I show you both in writing: what I observed, what it is costing you, and what to fix first.

  • We talk. You, your doctors and your manager, on what is working and what is not. I listen before I look at a number.
  • I examine the practice.Your reports, your schedule, the patient journey from phone call to pickup. On site, I watch it happen and talk to the team.
  • You get the findings.Where patients leave, what it costs, and a prioritized 90-day plan, in a written report and a working session with your leaders.

A reasonable fixed fee, agreed with you and confirmed in writing before you commit, beside my estimate of what the leaks are costing you: the decision is a return on investment, not an expense. No hidden fees. Remote by video, or on site in your practice. 30 days. If a focused engagement follows within 30 days, half the Diagnostic fee is credited toward it.

HOW I HELP · THE LUXEVISTA PRACTICE SYSTEM

Patients. People. Profit.

Three systems run every practice. Most owners call me about one of them. I start with the one costing you the most.

PATIENTS

The exam ends.
They buy elsewhere.

Every patient who leaves with a prescription and no eyewear is revenue your practice already earned. I work with your ODs and opticians on the handoff from exam room to optical, and on keeping managed vision care patients in your practice.

PEOPLE

Short-staffed.
Again.

Ask a practice owner what wears them down and staffing usually comes first. I help with OD staffing, HR and practice training, so new team members reach standard faster and good people stay.

BEHIND ALL THREE

Operations and education

I help you set the daily routines and standards that run the practice, and teach your team the reasons behind them, so the changes hold.

Strategy and planning support

I help you set priorities for the year, put numbers to them and decide who owns each one. You get a plan your team can follow.

I also work with franchise systems and specialty retail and beauty businesses.

PRACTICE TRAINING

Train the team. Watch the revenue follow.

Training is where I have done my strongest work. I teach it with your team, your managers coach it weekly, and we measure what changes. Delivered in your practice or by video, as a stand-alone program or inside an engagement.

The Consultative Selling Program

PROGRAM 02

Accountability Training

Managers learn to hold the conversations they have been avoiding: clear expectations, evidence instead of blame, and commitments with a review date. Six modules, in English or Spanish.

Built for
Owners and managers whose standards slip between shifts.
We measure
Owned actions closed on time, and standards held across the week.
Workplace Conversations and Accountability

PROGRAM 03

Patient Retention Training

Your doctors and opticians learn to keep the patients you already examine: the managed-care conversation, the handoff from exam lane to optical, and recall that actually gets made.

Built for
Practices where insured patients take the prescription elsewhere.
We measure
Managed-care capture rate and exams booked from recall.
Managed Vision Care Training

REVENUE AFTER TRAINING · FROM MY OPERATING CAREER

  • 40% to 75%capture rate in one Luxottica practice within 180 days of retraining the manager and the optometrist: about $40,000 a month more revenue on the same traffic.
  • ~20%growth in average transaction and premium lens mix across a 400-practice optical business after a new selling and pricing program.
  • 30%year-over-year EBITDA growth across 10 Pearle Vision franchise practices after practice-level accountability for revenue, labor and expenses.

THE PEOPLE I BRING

You work with me. And I bring people with me.

Twenty years in optical leadership leaves you with more than lessons. It leaves you with a strong network of optometrists and optical professionals: the optometrists I supported as franchise owners at LensCrafters and Pearle Vision, the opticians, lab partners and field leaders I hired, trained and promoted, and the billing, HR and recruiting specialists I leaned on when a practice needed more than one person could give.

When your practice needs something I do not do myself, I know who does it well, and I make the call.

  • OptometristsFranchise owners and associate doctors I have worked beside, for a second opinion on how a practice runs.
  • Optical professionalsOpticians, lab and managed-care specialists, and field leaders who know the dispensary from the inside.
  • Practice specialistsBilling, HR and recruiting partners for the work that needs a specialist, not a generalist.

RESULTS

What 450 practices taught me
about yours.

I supported about 450 franchise practices at Luxottica. These are the lessons I carry into every practice.

  1. 40% → 75%Luxottica · capture rate at one practice

Drawn from my résumé figures. One practice, 180 days. Same patients, same traffic.

Nothing about the patients changed. The practice changed how it worked.

One practice had a 40% capture rate and lower sales than the practices around it. I spent time on site, retrained the manager and the optometrist, and set action plans with the decision makers. After 120 days revenue was up about $40,000 a month, with the same traffic and no added optometrist coverage. Within 180 days it held a 75% capture rate and ranked in the top three of 25 practices in its area. See what one point of capture rate is worth.

  2. ~$25MLuxottica · LensCrafters and Pearle Vision

Owners adopt a change when they can see what it does in their own practice.

I was one of the leaders who helped influence franchise optometrists to take part in a frame program. I could advise them, not direct them. More than 300 franchise practices enrolled, and it was a big success: about $25M in revenue.

  3. +30%Pearle Vision · 10 franchise practices

Profit improves when each practice owns its own numbers.

Portfolio EBITDA grew 30% in one year, with sales up 8%, after each practice took ownership of its revenue, labor and expenses.

LEADERS WHO HAVE WORKED WITH ME

In their own words.

Colleagues, operators and partners from my optical years. Each is quoted from a recommendation they wrote on LinkedIn, with the year they wrote it.

Through Patrick’s guidance, I was able to turn around an underperforming segment of the business. I still consider Patrick a mentor and trusted advisor.
Alex MacbethSVP of Operations, multi-site eye care. Worked under Patrick’s leadership at two organizations.LinkedIn recommendation, 2017
Patrick has a strong record of results and building high performance teams. I would characterize Patrick’s leadership mentality with the mantra, “If better is possible, good is not enough.”
Douglas PelkeyExecutive Board Member, American Board of Opticianry; Board Member, United Opticians Association.LinkedIn recommendation, 2008
Under Patrick’s mentorship, I grew into my role. I learned a lot of what makes me an effective field manager: recruiting talent, developing talent and being an advocate as opposed to micro-managing our teams.
A.R. ThomasellianoField manager who reported to Patrick as his regional manager and later his director. Now with Revo Eyewear at EyeHub Solutions.LinkedIn recommendation, 2016
A very good corporate connection in a franchise business. Patrick was always listening to concerns and tried to resolve the issues.

QUESTIONS OWNERS ASK

Before you call.

Will I work directly with you?

Yes. I lead and deliver every engagement myself. When a specialist is needed, I bring one from my network and stay accountable for the work.

Do you work on site or remotely?

Both. Remote work is delivered by phone or video from your reports and KPIs. On-site work adds time in your practice and is quoted with one flat travel fee.

What does it cost?

A reasonable fee that you and I agree on before anything starts. I work with practice owners and optometrists on a price that fits the services you are interested in and the size of your practice. Every fee is fixed and written into your proposal within 48 hours of the discovery call. No hidden fees, no hourly meter, no surprises on the invoice. The proposal also puts the fee next to what the problem is costing you each month, so you are making a return-on-investment choice, not a spending decision. Payment plans are available, and ongoing advisory is a simple monthly retainer. Read how fees are set and the ways to pay.

What is outside your scope?

I advise on the business side of the practice. Clinical care, legal and tax matters need appropriately qualified professionals. I provide the findings and the plan; your team carries it out.
